Riparia graduate students Elham Nasr Azadani and Peter Backhaus were speakers in the Department of Geography’s Coffee Hour lecture series on March 16th, 2018. They spoke as part of the Graduate Student Lightning Talks, where graduate students offered a glimpse into their research and experiences.

Eli’s talk was titled “Nature Schools and their Impacts on Empowering Young Girls” where she spoke of her experience leading a nature school in Iran. Peter spoke about his current Master’s project in a talk titled “Synthesizing Remote Wetland Functional Assessment Methods.”
